Our church officially became Open and Affirming in 2004 when we approved this Welcome Statement: With God’s grace we seek to be a congregation that includes and affirms all persons, embracing differences of race, nationality, physical or mental condition, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status and age. We welcome all to share in worship, sacraments, ministry, fellowship and blessings with us. We called our first queer pastor in 2006: Rev. Kevin McLemore. He served as Pastor from 2006 till 2011
